Created in 1991 on the Sega Genesis, Sonic the Hedgehog was the beginning of what would become a fantastic series. Sonic must collect the Chaos Emeralds and save the innocent animals from evil scientist Dr. Robotnik.
Level Select[]
At the title screen, press ↑, ↓, ←, →, A + Start. A sound test is also included.
Debug Mode[]
At the title screen, press C, C, ↑, ↓, ←, →, A + Start in the Japanese version, otherwise it's ↑ C ↓ C ← C → C A+ Start for the US and EU versions, and then hold A until Sonic appears. Controls:
- A Toggles object placement mode.
- B Selects the next object.
- C Placect.
- D In the sound test menu, select 64 12 15 for a creep
Level Select + Debug Mode[]
At the title screen, press ↑, ↓, ←, →, ↑, C, C, ↑, ↓, ←, →, A + Start. Then, select a zone, and then hold A until Sonic appears.
Messed up Demo[]
While a demo is playing, hold A, B, and C, and Sonic will be unable to jump, making him seem confused, lose his place, and possibly die.
